Could it be happening?

Dear friends,
I just discovered this contemporary translation of Lekha Dodi. It strays some from the literal meaning of the text, but from a certain angle the difference is slight. Enjoy!

Lecha Dodi, to the Garden come,
Raise a cheer and beat the drum.
Orange, blue, our hearts unite,
Bring the Knicks their crown tonight!

Hitna'ari, shake off sorrow,
No more waiting till tomorrow.
Years we've wandered, years we've sighed,
Now let victory be our guide.

Yamin u'smol, both left and right,
Brunson drives with all his might.
Hart rebounds and OG flies,
May the banners touch the skies.

Lo teivoshi, be not ashamed,
For our faithful hope remained.
Through the losses, through the pain,
May New York now rise again.

Bo'i b'shalom, championship day,
Send the Larry O'Brien our way.
With Spike Lee's prophecy in the mix,
We'll sing and dance—"The Knicks in six!"

Go Knicks! Shabbat shalom,

Rabbi Misha
