AM Shabbat - Bat Mitzvah

  • First Presbyterian Church, The Great Hall (enter the gate on 11th & 5th ave.) 12 West 12th Street New York, NY, 10011 United States (map)

“We are very excited to be adding a new daytime layer to our TNS Shabbat practice. On May 7th we will hold our first Shabbat morning Shul service, which will provide an opportunity to chant from the Torah and encounter some new and beautiful liturgy. These Shabbatot will also offer an avenue for a type of community celebration that has thus far eluded us at TNS. Each Shabbat morning will include a Bar/Bat/B Mitzvah celebration, in which, among the special TNS musicality and prayer we will witness the coming of age of a young person in our community. Simchas, or celebrations, are a vital part of community members' sense of connection with one another, and I'm sure these services will strengthen our collective spirit. These young folks on their big day have a way of flooding the mind with insight, the soul with gratitude and the heart with hope.”

-Rabbi Misha

On June 11th we will be celebrating Emmanuelle Anne DiClerico's Bat Mitzvah. See below about Emmy.

*Please Note - First Presbyterian Church has a mandatory mask policy, please wear it upon entry.
