Sukkot Social Action at Imani Community Garden in Crown Heights

  • Imani Community Garden 87-91 Schenectady Ave Brooklyn, NY 11213 (map)

On Sunday, October 20th at 10am-12pm, we'll clean up the chicken coop and other seasonal farm maintenance tasks at local Imani Community Garden in Crown Heights, where community members hold neighborhood gatherings, grow vegetables and even raise animals! Experience a smaller urban farm in Repair the World Brooklyn’s home of Crown Heights where tasks may include tending to the chickens, turning compost, weeding, and harvesting! Imani Garden is part of the New York Restoration Project, providing open green space where it is limited. Program for parents and children together. This event is open to all families with children ages 5+. Thank you to UJA Federation of NY for their generous support of our family programming. Please register here. Afterwards, join The New Shul Education Director Ali for a walking tour of the Sukkot of Crown Heights and Sukkot Celebrations and Rabbi Zach, Zivar, and Rumi’s home in Prospect Heights.
